Riding exercise of the day - 9

Once more we'll focus on balance. This exercise will help the rider to finely tune the instructions to the horse and gain balance in order to be able to be placed precisely over the horse. Plus, the horse really gets a great stretch :)

Start with 10 meter circles and decrease these when you feel ready. Remember not to place whole your body weight on the horses inside when placing weight on the inner seat bone. This makes it impossible for the horse to find the correct balance. Remember, you're a team!

First, do this in a walk. Once you've mastered it you can try doing it in a trot and then in a canter.

Tip: When riding on the circle, you should be able to "see" your path between the horses ears, and the horse should be shaped like the track.
